Anyone got one? I read Roombas are all around tops, but we just got an eufy c30 after a comparison with Roombas of similar features. Did a nice job tonight & found home base when battery went down. Lasted about 90 minutes. Dirt/dust filled it up in 70 minutes.

eufy's are way cheaper & lighter weight & shorter height. Didn't get stuck at all.

Ours was under $200. Understand Roombas are studier/take more pounding but also taller & get stuck more. Some are over $900 with lots of bells & whistles, but more basic are $300-400. Just didn't want to invest too much till we saw how we like it.

I would get a robot vacuum but I'm pretty sure it's just a Terminator in disguise.

My Roomba would find a way to get stuck on a sheet of glass...by the time I set up all the barriers to keep it out of trouble spots I might as well run the vacuum myself. Cleaning lady requires way less maintenance

Same here. We have our Roomba (my wife named it Todd in the app) setup to run every weekday at 10 am while we're at work. Every day before we leave we have to prepare the house so that this ******* won't get stuck. He is the perfect height to get stuck under the front part of our refrigerator, and he will get stuck every time if we don't put a small stool in front of it. He also has pulled a couple of lamps off of side tables by eating their cords. Like I said...*******.

^ The eufy's shorter height than Roombas is a big reason we picked it. Turns out it's right height for everything in our house to not get stuck. It either bumps into low stuff or goes under everything else. Today it did get stuck in a corner. But we're liking it. Has run 80+ minutes & takes about 3.5 hrs to recharge. I guess our house is dirty as bin has filled up in 60-70 minutes both times & needed to be emptied.

I got the iLife off of Amazon. Works great and never had a problem, at fraction of the cost. I use mainly for dog hair on hardwood floors, don't know how it would do on carpet.

We had a GIANT assed orange industrial robotic vacuum at one of our Raytheon facilities in AZ - I’m man enough (and now far enough away from my ppl there) to admit that it creeped me out a little ....

and it glitched occasionally and just ...made you feel uncomfortable and a bit concerned about our future

Sometimes I think too much though

My co-worked had an older Roomba and stated that it was ok.......but would often get stuck and would leave unclean areas. He has a new one and he notes that it's dramatically better. It doesn't remove manual cleaning completely, but reduces it a substantial amount.

The benefit comes from running the thing regularly, so make sure it maps the home and let's your create zones to avoid in the app (or have a house free of clutter), otherwise its not worth it.

Dudes... talking about vacuum cleaners... sorry, I didn't realize this was the ghey thread lol.

Man up and tell your biotch to make you a sammmie whist running the Hoover.

The cheaper ones don't learn your house......they just pinball around. If I got one, I'd buy one that can be programmed.

......I'm interested in the future of lawnmowing as well.

Have a Roomba. Rarely use it.

As a poster said earlier in the thread, it would jget stuck on a pane of glass.

Have to basically "stage" the room before you use it or it just gets stuck anywhere and everywhere.

Have to use it on daily basis to make it worth the while. The dust / lint trap on mine is about the size of large tea bag.

Went out and bought a top of the line upright....never looked back.

Wife has one and I keep hoping the bastard will tear up. Get sick of watching TV and hearing it constantly getting hung up under something. I let it stay there till it shuts off, then swear up and down that I didn't know it. I don't want to mess with it constantly .

I've thought about getting one due to dog hair on the floor. I can go and sweep up the whole area without carpet (kitchen, dining room, living room, and hallway) and by the time I get done there's freaking hair on the floor again. I'd be surprised if the thing could go a whole cycle without being to full of hair and I only have 2 beagle mix dogs.

I don't know what's worse though the dog hair on the floor or the women's hair in the bathroom. I couldn't tell you how many times I have had to disconnect the stopper in the bathroom sink because of hair blocking the drain.

If these were more reasonably priced I would probably get one.

Well, eufy has managed to get stuck under a few things, couch most often, but not that big deal to protect those few spots. Use it regularly & works well.
