That is fine. A rebuild happens with people who buy into the vision of wanting to be apart of it. It's the same thing that Barry Alvarez did at WI. Same thing that Frost is doing at Nebraska.

Chole has been leaning towards Nebraska for a long time now and he is actually a better linebacker - and faster.

Well unless I am reading his data wrong, we're the only OV he's taken?? I guess just because he decommiied doesn't necessarily mean there is no shot at recommitting. Would be extremely slim, odd and uncomfortable.

I genuinely need somebody to explain to me what he does so well that he has all these offers. Kid looked like nothing special to me on his film.

I'm beginning to wonder if he had a commitable offer or if this is another situation like we had a couple of years ago. I didn't see any tweets from staff welcoming him to the fold did you?

I hope not. That would be a recruiting violation wouldn’t it?

I wouldn't know, I only really see those if they're posted on here or in an article I happen to see. But IIRC it was the running back last summer.

I wondered the same thing.

No commitable offer? He committed. He was definitely a priority target ......

the 6-foot-2, 235-pound inside linebacker out of Pleasant Grove, Ala. announced his commitment to the Big Red via social media. Groce picked NU over finalists such as Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Mississippi State and had over 25 total offers to his name. Groce becomes the 12th known verbal commit for Nebraska's 2020 recruiting class.

Offers are reported by the kid not the school. We had a kid "commit" a few years ago who didn't actually have a commitable offer and it made for a PR mess. I'm not saying that was the case here. Just wondering aloud.

There are few recruits over the last 3 or 4 years that I wasn't indifferent to. I got excited about wandale, ty, mccaffery, and benhart last year. This guy falls into the other category. Hope for the best for him but I'm not gonna lose sleep over this.

Why did he commit in the first place? Oh well better to have this happen now than in signing day.

We are hurting for LB talent and McCullough went to ASU... Kaden Johnson still on the board, but...
And we need to start filling this class up.
There’s a few other LB bodies out there (cough* Devyn Curtis) however we need to hit a home run down the stretch to finish this thing off.
Hey Omar Manning if you’re listening: now’s an ok time to come out and join the Frost train. We’re all ready for you and could sure use a little momentum boost.

Or if I haven’t learned my lesson enough about drinking tainted kool aid, maybe Jackson Bratton let Groce know he’d be committing to Nebraska and Groce realized his playing time may have been reduced? hey, just grabbing at straws here.

Given our current stellar LB play plus all of the LBs that we already have committed in this class this is no big deal. On to plan D.
