Yeah, Rojas suffered a long-term injury so that's more good news.Anyone know if he is banged up?
I read that he hurt his knee in practice last night and had an MRI scheduled for today! Does not look promising…Anyone know if he is banged up?
We lose our 5th best (arguably) player on defense and that’s a reason to throw in the towel?Wow, this pretty much ends what glimmer of hope we had to salvage the year. We immediately get slower on defense at a critical position.
Also 2nd in tackles. We lose our 5th best (arguably) player on defense and that’s a reason to throw in the towel?
No reason to throw in the towel, but you are underestimating the severity of the loss. He is probably second or third most important player on defense. We lose our 5th best (arguably) player on defense and that’s a reason to throw in the towel?
Better not as far as Speca. That's a disaster. I would rather play Lavar frankly. Speca is basically Williams/Benfatti. If he's in there? We have basically thrown in the towel for 2025.Keon Wylie is his backup and has played a fair amount this year. His snaps seemed to be going up. Anthony Speca is backup to Wylie. I expect to see a great deal of both going forward.
He played last year at 75 percent. Sadly this looks like another Jason Oweh, in that we won't see who he really is until he plays on Sundays. Actually I don't even think he was 100 percent THIS YEAR leading up to the first quarter injury vs OregonNo reason to throw in the towel, but you are underestimating the severity of the loss. ROBINSON? ahhhh, no. Kid wasn't even practicing until last week. Also 2nd in tackles.
We will see a lot of DeLuca and Robinson and they will try to work in Wylie, Speca and maybe Tatch.
I will see you a Filardi and raise you a Geno Capone and a Mac MorrisonDare I Say Gerald Filardi?
I’d say that others are overestimating his loss if the thinking is that this greatly impacts the outlook of the season. No reason to throw in the towel, but you are underestimating the severity of the loss. He is probably second or third most important player on defense.
I'm sorry...Morrison does not belong in the same conversation as Williams, Benfatti, and Filardi. Hard to look like a superstar next to a freak like Arrington, but he was a very solid backerI will see you a Filardi and raise you a Geno Capone and a Mac Morrison![]()
That statement only holds true if someone can step up and give the starting 2 a break without suffering output. I'd like to think Wylie and Tatsch can get this done but we won't know until they play.I’d say that others are overestimating his loss if the thinking is that this greatly impacts the outlook of the season.
@Grant Green, how much do you knock down Penn St on your power ratings for losing Rojas? I don’t do NCAAF, but I’d guess something like half a point. I know that most fans always greatly overvalue injuries on the basketball side.
Not that his absence is meaningless but I did not adjust PSUs power rating at all.I’d say that others are overestimating his loss if the thinking is that this greatly impacts the outlook of the season.

How will he do that? This is not good but Knowles will figure it out
Mac Morrison was a good PSU LB and I’m not ready to give up on Speca.I will see you a Filardi and raise you a Geno Capone and a Mac Morrison![]()
Who is this Robinson you speak of ??? Ta'Mere left for USC via the Transfer Portal at the end of 2024 season and Mason is a RS Soph DE who hasn't played a down in his career. Also 2nd in tackles.
We will see a lot of DeLuca and Robinson and they will try to work in Wylie, Speca and maybe Tatch.
He had shoulder harnesses on both shoulders from jump this year....so you may be correctHe played last year at 75 percent. Im sorry but I don't think I am being facetious when I say that I don't believe we have ever seen Tony Rojas play a single down at Penn State at 100 percent. He had shoulder harnesses on both shoulders from jump this year....so you may be correct
He won't. The difference needs to be made up by the offense now. That's why it's called football. You need all 3 phases. This offense was nir winning 10 games playing like this current dog **** anyways. It's put up or shut up time for the offense. How will he do that?
I will see you a Filardi and raise you a Geno Capone and a Mac Morrison![]()
Notes to self:Jack Ham and Lavar Arrington need to slap Franklin upside the head for under recruiting a very important position on defense.
Could Coach Failure at least allow Dan Connor to select who plays and when?
Is that your attempt at Haiku? He is looking for attention
You already gave him too much
This is his schtick - all sizzle, no steak
I never understood the appeal of Haiku. Very possible, it's me.Is that your attempt at Haiku?![]()
Yes, Campbell not Robinson. My bad. Thanks for the correction.Who is this Robinson you speak of ??? Ta'Mere left for USC via the Transfer Portal at the end of 2024 season and Mason is a RS Soph DE who hasn't played a down in his career.
Did you mean DeLuca and Campbell?
Yeah my bad, meant Campbell.ROBINSON? ahhhh, no. Kid wasn't even practicing until last week.
We are down to Wylie and Tatsch. No time left for training wheels, they come off this Saturday in Pasadena.
