I agree that it should be SMU. But I bet the suits don’t want to leave out the Bama brand just for SMU and the sanctity of the CCGs.

6 vs Clemson looks enticing. Get a win and play Boise in the quarters. That would probably be the most favorable scenario for PSU right now.

If SMU gets left out you can safely bet on the following. In two or three year’s conference championship games will become a thing of the past. I can’t imagine a 1 loss team, ranked 8th in the polls and guaranteed a playoff spot will risk everything over conference championship game. If Alabama leapfrog’s SMU the college football post season to change significantly.
