He owned District IV for the better part of his career. Routinely beat 5A or 6A schools like Williamsport and State College, and at times did it as A or AA. Sock also scheduled a lot of Philly schools over the years. Play Muncy one week and some 4A Philly Prep school the next.

He would have won more state titles had the piaa reigned in the private/charter schools a little better. I know he's battling cancer. This will give him more time to heal hopefully.

Announcement came as a surprise to me as I would have thought it would come at the end of the a season. The heath issue makes sense why he's resigning now. Had a great career as a H S bball coach in Lycoming County and all of PA. Get well coach.
