Quadruple overtime. Lots of TV time outs. False fire alarm at the hotel at 6am tomorrow. And so on

One game suspensions might be a bit much

I wonder what the hotel situation is for tourneys like this. D.C. has tons of hotels, so I assume that teams are all at different hotels, but maybe they're all eating at a banquet or something on Day 1. They could all get food poisoning.

Except as a joke, the league tells the NU team that the banquet is at a different hotel and so they show up at the wrong place and everyone has a laugh at NU's expense. Until... the next day when they are the only team not puking their guts out! I like that. Let's root for that.

I would rather play OSU than Rutgers. RU is a dangerous team with some pit bulls on it ready for a breakthrough 17'-18' season. OSU might feel shameful for such a poor season and no tourney this year. My money is on RU for an upset of OSU. I just hope NU will be better this time against RU if they do beat OSU. Having SLind feeling better might just do the trick. I also think we can beat Maryland this time around- even though it would be like a home game for them. We might just wind up with a rematch against PU for the title. If that is the case, I am going to try to witness the game in person this time around.

Both of these teams aren't scoring. Rutgers looks hungry. You've got to box out against them!!!

Glad it's a close game!

Respectfully disagree. OSU, though they won, is actually a fairly poor matchup for us on paper (problem with OSU is motivation, but a victory over Rutgers would have partially addressed that)

We just match up so much better vs. Rutgers, imo. Unless we can't put the ball in the ocean like the last time we play them (and that would be bad against any opponent), a team that just chucks it up and relies on offensive rebounds almost exclusively to win game play right into the hands of our defensive scheme, imo.

This is not the Northwestern of old; teams that could o-rebound used to just slaughter us, but, with Purdue as exhibit A, we hold our own on the boards against a strong rebounding team. Rutgers is dangerous since they have nothing to lose, but there is a reason they finished last and now have to play a game vs us on short rest.

They had 19 OR. And 1/3 of their points were second chance. (Plus OSU could not hit a FT or 3w hen it counted) They play hard D and beat you up. They want to muck it up and are a dangerous team to face. Hopefully the game last night takes a lot our of their legs.

Like the idea but even sliding off the runway did not hurt MICH

We have held our own on the boards vs. them outrebounding them by 8 the first time and getting out rebounded by 8 the second time, both wins for us Think they have to outrebound us in the 15 range to beat us, and just don't believe that is going to happen
