Not at all ,a kid tgat tall that young is uncoordinated and usually gets more comfortable the stronger he gets.I think with the redshirt yr it will help him bigtime. He can shoot to 40+% from 3pt range so he can help open the floor up.

No doubt he has not helped his case at times. He's not a pg though and wasn't recruited to play pg. You also can't yank him everytime he makes a mistake. You have to let younger guys play through some of their mistakes.
Pope has a short leash with a few guys compared to some of the other guys. Aberdeen is a senior as well so he's more mature and experienced. I hope Johnson comes back too.

I hope we are able to return a good core, bring in Pate and one elite freshman. Then I’d love to see the staff focus on landing 2-3 foreign players with the right skill sets to go along with landing 2 portal studs and a role player or two. There’s a ton of top end talent overseas who we can get for less NIL than a portal guy.

You're not wrong. That's would be the best scenario and one that should be expected.

You have not seen enough of him to come to those conclusions. He has been hurt the entire year. You are way off base here.
You are wrong and I talk to fans every day who actually know a lot about basketball and they agree with me. Get Lowe 100% healthy from day one and you will see the type of player that you want. There is no way to judge Lowe as a bad player based on his play this year.
If Lowe is our starting point guard, we aren’t winning anything. He’s a shot clunker look at his raw numbers. I think Lowe can be a good piece if he plays from the bench, I’d even give him some good minutes but we need another Kentucky level guard. He’s also coming off a really bad injury, Mark simple cannot afford to continue to roll out here with injury prone players. It’s not a smart idea.
Lowe is a shot taker that isn’t a very good shooter. That’s not what you want at the guard position. I’m on multiple boards and work in Lexington, I interact with a lot of UK fans. And I mean a lot. I don’t know but a few here who want to roll with him next season. I was shocked when I came here and found a few but it’s only a few. Run a poll, it will be a vast minority.
As I said, he’s also too good to play from our bench and he won’t do that. So I’m not just saying he sucks either. But I would love him as a guy from the bench getting good minutes. I just want someone else who’s better at doing PG things to run the show. Also to note there were no top shelf programs interested in Lowe except Kentucky. I think Syracuse had some.
Problem is, if you allow a guy to just play through mistakes and leave a better player on the bench, you lose games.
How many games have we won by 1 possession? You can't just allow a guy to play losing basketball when we have already lost so many games.
Those mistakes need to be corrected in practice, not during league games where every possession is so important.
