We are in the New Cotton Bowl against a familiar foe. I like our chance in the revenge game. I hate the way the defense is playing. If we can just keep an average at best QB, to remain average then, we should walk away.
The coaching staff will need to step up.
LR cannot go into a shell
DC and Asst. put these guys in the right scheme. Man cover 2 or man cover 4. We are getting killed in zone coverage. We have 2 players, that pickup zone, 90% of the time. That's 5 to 6 that do not. Yes, we will get burned some playing man but we get burned ALL of the time playing zone.
Teach these kids how to play coverage and USE the sidelines as an EXTRA man. EVERYONE is CF does this but we never do.
Kelley is a pass rusher but fails gap assignment and gets pulled into way to many coverage. He takes better angles then Bolton and his size will help with Eligher.
texASS Oline is not very good, exploit that weakness. Get Pressure! Mann, Bledsoe, Gallimore,Famatua,Overton Lott and Perkins, need to rotate. Keep fresh and get pressure!
