Rules on Size of Signature

I'm looking to make a custom sig to appear each of my posts, but I wanted to make sure that I'm following the boards rules. I'm thinking of making either a static image or a gif, and I want to make sure that I make it the appropriate size. Thank you.

Just so you know, most people hide the sigs on here. Waste of time IMO.
