And Fordham is, well, not good. We can talk about them being closer in games and thus improved, but until they start winning, it is still lolRutgers, imo.

I'm sure Vic and Dererk remember losing to Rutger last year. They'll be ready.lolRutgers almost taught us a hard lesson in football this year. Hopefully Collins will have the boys ready!

We'll see where Rutgers is at the end of the year. I predict 14th jn the BIG.A top-ten Virginia team lost to a 16th seed in last year's NCAA tourney. Rutgers had a bad game. Ask Miami how LOL Rutgers was in the ACC challenge.
Eh, while they had a bad loss to Fordham, they've looked feisty and darn near respectable in more games than not. I'm a bit surprised you think they will finish behind your hated perma-enemy in Illinois. I'm not saying Rutgers is good, but they are a lot better than they've been. I'd take them to finish 12th or 13th. And thus far in 4 seasons they've finished 2-16, 1-17, 3-15, and 3-15 in conference... I'd take the over on 3.5 this year (though admittedly that's sort of a low bar for a 20-game schedule). We'll see where Rutgers is at the end of the year. I predict 14th jn the BIG.
With the strength of this conference, I would happily the under on 3.5. Illinois is bad, but neither they,, nor any other BIG team, will likely come close to losing to a team as horrific as Fordham this year-- they are a really, really bad team...Eh, while they had a bad loss to Fordham, they've looked feisty and darn near respectable in more games than not. I guess we will see! Illinois has struggled, but I’ll grant they have played quite a tough schedule thus far. I will informally take the over on 3.5 for Buttgers... I don’t think they are good by any means, but I think you are over extrapolating by a single performance and looking past a number of good performances they’ve had. Especially when you play the style of game that Butty does (physical, with a focus on defense and rebounding), you are going to end up in a lot of close, low scoring rock fights, which means on a given day if a handful of shots fall or don’t fall, you can beat good teams or lose to bad ones. With the strength of this conference, I would happily the under on 3.5. Fordham followed their win over B1G Rutger with a loss at home to NJIT. Yes, powerhouse New Jersey Institute of Technology. Huh.
Yeah I was thinking of that one too. And didn’t MSU have an absolutely awful loss in pre conf schedule 2-3 years back? They most likely turned out alright that season... though granted maybe that was the year they ended up losing to 15 seed MTSU in the tournament... think it was a year or two prior though.NJIT beat Michigan a couple years back, in Ann Arbor (obviously).
