Rutgers Wrestling's Out Of Conference Schedule for 2025-26 Season
Here's a look at who Rutgers Wrestling will face off against this upcoming season outside of Big Ten duals.
I would replace UPenn for Rider in a second.Home

Any neutral site matches, like Journeymen? Surprised no UPenn or even Columbia. Now will NCST wrestle us at The RAC next season or was Toms River as close as they'll come?
Yeah there's a legit rivalry and animosity between Rutgers and Rider. Can't say the same between Rutgers and Penn.I would replace UPenn for Rider in a second.

Yes. That's what I posted. My comment was about next season. Will they wrestle us at The RAC?NC State is on the road this season
You do realize their in conference schedule is typically a gauntlet and they wrestle one of the tougher schedules nationally by default, right?Cupcake City outside of NC State.

DavidsonWho’s our first match against? Morgan state or Davidson?
This is just the dual schedule. No tournaments have been announced yet, but I'm sure we'll attend at least one. Nothing wrong with getting the backups some action. That's a pretty boring schedule TBH. Centenary? Really?!? I know that trip will be mostly backups but we already did this about 5 or 6 years ago and that was kind of pointless. This team needs to add some of those Big12 Dakota/Iowa schools. No Clif Keen is a disappointment too. They need a serious tournament to test their might and get a serious early season evaluation of where they stack up so that they can make real adjustments.
Last year Iowa wrestled Bellarmine. Ohio State wrestled Edinboro. A bunch of schools schedule lower tier teams to get their backups a match that doesn’t come out of their own pockets. It’s really not a big deal, and I’d even argue that steps like that are actually a nice thing to do for the guys who dedicate their college lives to a sport knowing that they’re unlikely to compete in many duals. I don’t know why people harp on those matches annually. That's a pretty boring schedule TBH. Centenary? Really?!?
