The NCAA Division I baseball playoffs, or College World Series, is a three-round tournament where 64 teams compete for the national championship. It begins with regionals, moves to super regionals, and culminates in the MCWS (Men's College World Series) in Omaha, Nebraska.
Here's a breakdown of the playoff format:
Regionals:
64 teams are divided into 16 regional brackets, each with four teams seeded 1-
Each regional is a double-elimination tournament.
The winners of each regional advance to the super regionals.
Super Regionals:
The 16 regional winners are paired up in eight best-of-three series.
The winners of each super regional advance to the MCWS.
MCWS (Men's College World Series):
The eight super regional winners are split into two four-team double-elimination brackets.
The winners of each MCWS bracket play a best-of-three series to determine the NCAA national champion.

It's not called "playoffs". Nobody uses that term to describe college baseball postseason. It's simply "Regionals", "Super regionals", and "College World Series".
They don't call it that. They may describe it as a "playoff", but nobody calls the college baseball post-season as the "playoffs". Well, nobody that truly played or understands baseball. Sit this one out, since you only like it when WVU wins, and you hate WVU win they lose.
