Rutgers have suspended their best player, Freshman Corey Sanders, for 4 games, which means he will miss the NU game. What a mess in Piscataway.

IDK...I would almost prefer he played. I like the status quo when it comes to playing Rutgers since it has resulted in such awful results on the court. I hope we don't get the football equivalent of a starting running back/QB going down and us getting torched by the different configuration.

Not in this case. They were already woefully short-handed (7 scholarship players, I believe) prior to this suspension.

There was this other nugget in the article as well:

"Rutgers' 27-game Big Ten losing streak in the longest by a conference team since Northwestern dropped 28 straight to league foes spanning three seasons 1999 to 2001."

Maybe Rutgers and IL can exchange ADs. O wait, IL does not have one and I don't remember if Rutgers does.

Does this mean that they could break it here?

Rutgers fired the woman from Louisville and hired a guy from Seton Hall, Pat Hobbs. It took Hobbs about 20 minutes to fire the football coach, Flood. Look for him to sack Eddie Jordan about 2 minutes after RU goes winless in Big 10 play.

No, they have 3 more games before coming to Evanston. Look for them to break it losing to Penn State after losing to Illinois. They also play @Minny before NU, which could be the battle of the unvictorious!
