Guys who are 6'11" stand up arrow straight, shoulders back, chin out. They wear striped shirts and pants to make them look taller. Some guys might even wear a stove pipe hat or a Shaq jersey. It's basically an odd form of short man's disease, except they are just short of 7'.
Guys are who 7' slump a bit, wear baggy clothes, and act like being 7' is a common occurrence. They might wear garanimals and a kilt. A 6'11" would not be caught dead in a kilt.

Maybe the 6'11.5 Olah was dressing up as a 7 footer for halloween and forgot to take the costume off. Dressing up as a 7 footer would be right with your short man's disease concept.
I saw Olah in downtown Evanston and he was riding past Taco Bell on one of those Hoverboard things. It was hilarious and I couldn't keep myself from laughing out loud.
