since the election how has the Stock Market been doing? Think investors are happy that someone who understands how to grow a business is now in charge?

No.....but on other topics you seem to think he is. You need to decide how you want to play the game.Trump is in charge? Did I miss the inauguration? Did I miss the electoral college vote?
I think I agree with you. The market is look at the future. They see Trump as pro business and people want to be ahead of the curve when buying. Contrarily, when Obama became the obvious, the market came tumbling down farther than it had dropped during the final quarter with Bush. When it was known that Obama was the new president, net earnings sat on the side. Businesses were unwilling to reinvest their profits to grow their business. They took their money and sat out the pending rough period. Obama policy did not encourage reinvestment. Reflected in 1% GDP growth.I'm not doc but I think before every new President there is a increase in the stock market because there's always hope that things are going to be better. The key will be to get things done that business likes.

Yes, it was doing for **** until Trump was elected, right?since the election how has the Stock Market been doing? Think investors are happy that someone who understands how to grow a business is now in charge?
You missed a key word...."seem". Maybe I made the mistake of lumping you in with some others on this board. If so.....thats on me.Can you be more specific? On what other topics do I seem to think he is?
My comments have been about things that he has done and said. At no point have I said that he's already in charge. You need to decide if you're going to stick with factual information or continue attributing things to people that they never said.

Thank you. A very clear and unbiased post. On a personal note: I see you golf? How is the Greenbrier under the new management? Is White Sulfur benefitting at all? Palmers track in Clarksvurg still doing well?I'm not doc but I think before every new President there is a increase in the stock market because there's always hope that things are going to be better. I think Palmer has a course in Wheeling and one @ Stonewall. I don't know of any in Clarksburg. Played both the Wheeling and Stonewall this year and they are both awesome. Would probs be even better if I was worth a ****.Thank you. A very clear and unbiased post. On a personal note: I see you golf? How is the Greenbrier under the new management? Stonewall was the one I was thinking of....par 3 that drops like crazy? Par 5 on top of the mountain? Yeah whatever. From Oct.2007 to Nov.2008 (BO elected) the Dow dropped 6k (16k - 10k)(banking/real estate collapse, beginning of the great recession). The down Dow trend continued for another 2k (10k-8k) until Feb 2009 (one month after BO took office) when it turned around and has trended up (with one 2k retracement) ever since from 8k to 18,332 when Trump won. The market was in free fall when BO was elected due to the dismal state of the economy/banking meltdown/real estate market collapse and it wasn't going to turn around on a dime just because we had a new prez, there was too much bad news. When markets capitulate like that they often overshoot in the direction they are heading. Market futures were in the cellar prior to the first day of trading when Trump won and the market opened down before rallying 257 that day and the rally has continued to the present though it seems a little frothy to me now. Basically I disagree with much of your post particularly how you think the markets viewed a BO presidency.I think I agree with you. The market is look at the future. They see Trump as pro business and people want to be ahead of the curve when buying. MtnBill, is that you? [roll]when Obama became the obvious, the market came tumbling down farther than it had dropped during the final quarter with Bush
Dumbest thing you've ever posted and that really takes some effort. You must have the memory of a flea. And the brain size too. Geez. #sadI think I agree with you. The market is look at the future. Are you still gwana be a wannabe after Jan 20? Since Knox left you, you are just searching for something to hang onto. Or do you people still have some more of your of your guarantees in support of another loser like Hillary? Like everything else you lie about, she is not nor ever was worth ****.Dumbest thing you've ever posted and that really takes some effort. You must have the memory of a flea. And the brain size too. Your memory is so fuked up from the loss of your love it is hard to imagine your dope as having further impediment. Hillary - ****. You are such a damned liar, you probably don't own any of the stupid comments you made during the past year. Did you really believe she had a chance against someone who wants to Make America Great Again? Someone who has actually contributed something to humanity instead of being a drone on society??? Really, you should try to get yourself together and get off the meds you share with customers.
Yeah, I had to read it twice. Wow.Dumbest thing you've ever posted and that really takes some effort. You must have the memory of a flea. And the brain size too. Geez. #sad

It's a sport directly tied to the economy. I haven't played much in the last 4 years, but that has everything to do with my oldest daughters being 4 years oldI live in Va, Salem near Roanoke, and as far as I know, the Greenbrier is doing ok. I talked to Thumper, who's really in the know, says that they are working 7 days a week to get things done for the Classic next year. Insurance has helped with the repairs but it is going to take more than a year for the scars to heal. Stonewall is the Palmer course but I have never played it. I have played the Pete Dye course in Clarksburg. Golf all over is suffering right now. Not enough members, not enough rounds being played.
Age has nothing to do with it. You and your candidate got collective asses kicked, and you are crying for a recount. Will take any lying excuse, just give me the recount. Hehe. Crying gets you a little sympathy from hangers on idiots like you, but the end result is still the fact that you are all losers.
Your command of the English language is masterful. Not so sure you should be throwing the term idiot aroundAge has nothing to do with it. Can you get no one to share their drugs today? I see a rough one coming all the time you procrastinate. Make it easy on yourself and the rest of use, who can read, and accept the results. Idiots.
Um...he's said many times that he took Business English in college. Wonder if it's too late to ask for a refund?Your command of the English language is masterful. Not so sure you should be throwing the term idiot around

Post a link to discussion board ediquette please. I read your foolish post, so I thought I had a right to respond?Don't stick your nose in a long term battle, idiot.
Was that college in Huntington?Um...he's said many times that he took Business English in college. Wonder if it's too late to ask for a refund?

Let me clue you in a little. That fool you are responding to has some serious issues. You are fully entitled to post a response but regardless, that guy will have a reaction unlike any you will see from any other. And most of the time the reaction is not even legible much less reasonable in a manner of any type of conversation a normal person enjoys having. Converse with him as you wish but you will not enjoy it ever.Post a link to discussion board ediquette please. I read your foolish post, so I thought I had a right to respond?
Makes a post about posters making personal attacks, while attacking a group of posters. Hahahha, you never disappoint.Let me clue you in a little. This post will cause a blistering post from him but that is ok. He is allowed to say whatever and whenever he wants towards me if it makes him feel better. No response from me will ever come but he still has that same defective quality most of the right wingers on here have, they must respond with something even if it is a personal attack. Just notice.
Most do not see exchanges on this board as English class. I do not have a secretary who proofs my work in retirement. Sentence fragments, run on sentences and the such are not important to most of us. It normally becomes an issue when one cannot respond otherwise. There are some on here who obviously are not well educated via textbooks, but they are able to convey their message that is more meaningful than some of the educated ******** who go out of their way to be ********. I have no use for those individuals, but I guess it is their way of feeling important. I just use the board for entertainment and to kill time during the day. I got here via the WVU sports board. It is really the only thing of value.Post a link to discussion board ediquette please. I read your foolish post, so I thought I had a right to respond?
That is a thing of beauty. This self centered ******* is beyond belief. He sets parameters for a discussions. No matter how late he enters in. He has the audacity to tell you what you are discussing and begins name calling. Then he blames every thing on the other person and suggests everyone else initiates the name calling. If he stays in the discussion so long and he is losing, he adopts the opposing view and starts arguing with you that that has always been his position.Let me clue you in a little. I thought something was out of place, but enough of the pissing contest. I did not want to bring it up.You can't even spell.
Well I can't spell, so we all have our weaknesses. It's hard to read tone on here. Sometimes I think a poster is being nasty, but they are really just messing around. Some I think are just messing around, but they're really being nasty. I came here from the sports side too. Things are just as bad there. I've enjoyed getting opposite viewpoints on here, and sometimes it gives me hope for true political discourse to be common in America again. Sometimes it just makes me crazy. I've got some time on my hands and usually only my 4 yr old and my 1 yr old to talk to....my wife doesn't enjoy discussing politics....so I come on here to get some political discourse. Most do not see exchanges on this board as English class. I made the dig about Marshall. Seems a common dig in the WVU community. I enjoyed many games growing up in Charleston. Back when MU was D2 it was just as much a part of me.That is a thing of beauty. This self centered ******* is beyond belief. He sets parameters for a discussions. No matter how late he enters in. He has the audacity to tell you what you are discussing and begins name calling. I have noticed three characters from Parkersburg originally and they all possess the same traits described above. I had some very good friends from Parkersburg at WVU, so I know that is not the problem. But it just so happens that these three are correct in all they say and do. They have formed a protective club to cover each other's *** with 4-5 more.
The first day I ever posted here, Bru and Bud(both Pburg) had me in a wash machine. Everything I would say, they busted my ***. I did not know enough about internet talk to look at the names. I finally realized that the two were a tag team. They were unrelenting, and I was a total novice trying to correct an economic position they had taken. After the name calling advanced so far, they hit my sweetspot and I entered into the name calling with a few names that offended them. They eventually backed off. Bru begins to cry or he will go away for a few weeks when he is proven to be totally wrong and verification is offered that can not be refuted. He goes silent and hides for a period of time. Before Bud went into hibernation a couple years back, he was worse than Bru is now. He slammed everyone on the board and the exchanges would last up to a couple weeks. It made no difference what the subject was, he would take the opposite view and cuss and raise hell. Most would say something to set him off and go away and leave Bud fuming for a couple days, and then come back with a remark and it was all on again.
Not making personal excuses. Just me, and I normally do not give up without proof that I am wrong. I have normally researched the subject before exposing myself. Seldom do I attempt to bluff my way thru a position.
Another issue you raised if my education was at Huntington. I don't think that was intended to be a friendly comment. Undergrad at WVU and MBA at MooU.
That was for me....I misspelled etiquette in my previous post and was justly slammed for itI thought something was out of place, but enough of the pissing contest. I did not want to bring it up.
I normally do not bring MooU association up on the WV board. That is asking for ridicule, and I do not accept it lightly enough.I made the dig about Marshall. Seems a common dig in the WVU community.
