But they clearly haven't quit. Vic in particular giving it his all despite a knee that is clearly bothering him...

Pardon too. Still fighting for positioning in the paint and giving effort on the defensive end after the result was no longer in question. Gonna miss watching him wear the purple.

Quit? Of course not. However, the team as a whole has no confidence. If we are down 8 points or more, leave the arena, or shut off the TV. There is an opposition run most every game, where we just don’t answer and last 5 minutes become time for a Murder She Wrote rerun.

Team is based on 3 point shooting to a large extent and they couldn't put a golf ball in the ocean since conference play started.

Confidence- that's the primary problem here. We saw in Iowa City that when the team has a good start, they play completely different. Granted, the Iowa defense is in the bottom half of the conference, but they were driving with authority and looked like a completely different team.

Minus a couple games this year (DePaul comes to mind), if they start the game having an off shooting night, they continue that way the entire game.

It looks to me like after the non-con and first 2 conference games, opponents extended their perimeter defense and have aggressively covered the Cats ball handlers. The exceptions to this were the Iowa second game before they went into their press at the end and the Indiana second game. The Cats wings can hit 3’s when they can step into them. The defenses have pretty much taken away that possibility.

Ya defenses do not fear our ability to create odd the dribble so they can really defend the 3 aggressively. And I don’t think this is a PG problem unless we had a PG who was a great off dribble scorer that defenses feared and had to help with.

I'd agree with your concept for the most part, but have also seen guys miss A LOT of open 3's as well.

What did taylor shoot last year beyond the arc? Think he was in the mid 40's maybe? Has he had what would be considered a "hot" game this season at all? If he does I can't recall it.

I agree with others that they continue to play hard (although Law seemed to give up a couple time last night versus Minny). The defense has been fine most nights. The offense is just a collection of unloved toys other than the consistency of pardon.

The roster makeup is just way less than ideal. From the weakness at certain positions to the poor class mix. We've sort of got either seniors or frosh- little in between of meaning. My biggest disappointment is feeling collins should have been getting the frosh more experience to start the process for next year.

This is it right here. We have two lost years in recruiting. No program that doesn't recruit one-and-dones could overcome that.
