Anyone heard anything on the Arkansas defensive end that entered the portal the other day? He looks to be really good.

A position we need a good player. Weaver back? Wade ready but is Fearby? Will Afari play OLB or CB? Matthews going to be good? Frosh Ziesmer coming in OLB or ILB? Lot of questions there. Pass rushing may be one of our biggest needs.

Our D has missed a Josh Allen coming around the end torturing LTs since 2019. We really need Wade and/or Fearby to take a physical and mental leap this offseason.

South Carolina has lost several players to the portal seeking NIL. It's not just UK getting hit. Everyone is getting players poached by higher spending schools. South Carolina can afford Rattler and not much else. Losing star edge rushers and tail back. Also starting tight end I think.

Wonder if their fans also blame Barnhart for the general nature of CFB’ big fishes eating the smaller ones ?

You have to wonder what USCjr fans are feeling about these transfers. I mean, we lose Rogers and some of our chicken little type fans think the sky is falling. Cock fans, as delusional as they are, have to be scratching their heads over this mass exodus.

They are losing players who are looking for something besides playing time. The RB ended up at SoCal, surprising, the TE went back to OU, Bunch is supposedly leaning to Oregon, when he was coming out of HS mom wanted him close to home.

Yes Weaver is coming back for his senior year in 2023. I really like Keaton Wade, who should become the next star on the edge. Not concerned about Fearbry. He will be another good one. Physically, Wade and Fearbry have everything Josh Allen had at the time he got to campus. According to Stoops, Grant Godfrey was recruited for the edge. Godfrey has a lot of upside too. Brad White needs to find out what they have in Noah Matthews. I still think Ziesmer will probably end up at Will or Mike, but he could be a Sam.

From our point of view, bringing in another edge player from the portal would make some sense. I could see it. But players come in from the portal to play, not to sit. I doubt a transfer can beat out Weaver or Wade. We are at a point where Stoops has a few scholarships left. Probably, the remaining priorities now are-

WR
RB
OT
interior DL
WR
maybe a placekicker

Or something like that.
