As added bonus, looking at the dates I don't think I'll have to worry about conflicts with Bear playoff games.

NU doubles- Purdue MSU Penn State Minn Nebraska Illinois Maryland - We take 1 of 3 against Purdue/MSU, 2 of 4 against IL/MD and 4/4 against MN/NE - 7 wins

Singles - home against Michigan Iowa and Ohio state - road against Rutgers Wisconsin and Indiana - We take 3/3 at home, 1 of 3 on the road - 4 wins

11 wins minimum, that's the floor for me.

Wow. That schedule sounds quite forgiving with getting doubles for Minny, Nebby, and PSU. Then those home and road singles are probably as much as anyone could ask.

We need to make WR a House of Pain for opposing teams and fans.

Can't disagree, Hungry One. But you've gotta admit, PSU hasn't been too forgiving toward us of late.

Not sure if this information is out there or not, but here is how they are handling the student tickets this season...

Last year they just randomly "dropped" a university wide alert - "Student tickets will become available via this link at noon today." So at noon everybody would try to get in to some online portal and claim their ticket. It was a free-for-all... Some students would be in class... not a great way to do it.

This year NU developed a point system, whereby "credit" is awarded to any student who shows up to attend any Northwestern game for any "Olympic" sport. So if you go to the women's soccer game you get some points. Points aggregate and the people with the most points get first priority for home men's basketball games. At least thats how my daughter explained it to me. On its face it seems like an interesting approach to get students out to watch their classmates compete.

There will be more students at Women’s Fencing than at football.

Opening three conference games are Purdue, at IL, MSU. That’s a challenging start to the slate. And I never ever ever chalk up PSU as a win, given…everything, for years

Good catch, total brain fart. I thought it seemed low!

PSU might to be better than people are giving them credit for. VCU was solid and they have a couple of transfers following the coach. And mostly there seems to be some supernatural force preventing us from beating them.

Therefore I will give it a (generous for being against PSU) 1 out of 2. Bottom is now 12.

This will mean, at worst, we will match last year’s record, which was our best BIgTen record since 1945.
