Aw hell! Hopefully we dial back the pressure so far out and not let them spread us out too much to drive and kick
Speaking of Auburn, the handful of Auburn fans on the main college basketball message board that come out of the woodworks every once in a blue moon are some of the most delusional fans that I’ve ever seen. One Auburn fan started a thread on the main college basketball message board claiming that Auburn is the best team in college basketball this season. lol

I’ve got a scouting report on the arena...it’s a DUMP.
Our defense is only allowing teams to shoot 30% from 3 so far this season.
So, we will see what gives.

Oh and we’re shooting 36.2% from 3 now. That’s championship level 3-point shooting (wonder if the media will make a big deal about that?)

They can shoot and they’re used to being beaten on the boards. So the way we play isn’t going to totally bother them. Duke has to make a concerted effort to feed Vern and not fall in love with the 3, except Joey. Joey can do that.
Matt and Jack are going to be really important. Having a second interior scorer will be key to beat this team.
Duke is a good 3pt % defense, so Tech won’t get easy shots. They aren’t a great driving team, so I can’t see the drive killing the Devils.
Duke should win. A good Wendell would be nice against the pseudo-pack line.

I was 21 and jumping up and down on my bed like a little kid. I think I kicked my GF at the time out of the bedroom bc things weren’t going well in that game.
Dockery is one of the few good memories I can think of when playing @VT. I dread this away game in recent years.
That was actually the 2005-06 season. Sean was a senior. We led that game by double-digits at the under four timeout....then fell apart.
It kept us as #1 to face #2 texas the very next game and jj shot lights out. Think we won by close to 30?

I wonder if they will start out in zone. They are a smaller team and may think that's the best way to contain big Vern. If so we need to hit a couple for confidence and it may force them out of it.
I was wondering the same. We have not seen a lot of drive and kick for an open three I think because Vernon has been a beast inside. If they do go zone it will be Baker's time to shine and (dare I say it) a coming out party for Alex. He was looking for his shot against MSU, and they were feeding him when he was in the game, but it just wasn't there. Maybe tonight's the night?

It's bad enough here for a game or two a year...I don't think I could handle all the cheats fans. ..but again there will be a lot there tonight in their VT hear they usually only wear during football season lol
They play pack line, which acts like zone. It’s not going to be easy to just throw it in. There’s going to need to be some screen and drive action. Luckily, unlike last season, this team can shoot. Primarily Joey and Matt.
Know plenty of VT fans and have been to a few games there both football and basketball - no different than other places. Cool people, jerks, etc.

I get it man - I feel that way about UK and UMD fans. Oh and Ravens fans. They blow.
