Saw this on the main board.

Was this his final game as the AZ coach at home? You can deny something to the media, but...on the record under the penalty of perjury? I’m guessing he’s gonna be taking the Kelvin Sampson path the next 5+ years.

Sounds like he’s going to be subpoenaed in the CBB federal case.

In fairness, he later said it wasn’t a goodbye, but I’m guessing that’s coach speak.

Now, what are the odds we could get Roy on the record under the penalty of perjury? We could finally get that nanner pudding secret recipe.

It’s almost as if you knew that’s what I was going to say.

I’m not sure how Miller survives this. I don’t think Walton survives the Lakers. I’m no math expert, but two plus two equals four, as far as I know.
There was a post on the main board that referenced a Seth Davis tweet that said Walton will be prime for UCLA or Arizona, so I can’t claim it as an original thought. I think he’d take AZ over UCLA. I doubt he wants to be in the same town he just got fired from and honestly AZ is probably a better job at this point.

But is Arizona going to face substantial penalties? Would that not factor into the job's attractiveness?

On top of the fact that’s where he went to school and was an all American.

I try not to read into vague statements, but I think he’s done after this season. Probably getting subpeanoed and/or facing termination.

Mixed emotions about it. IMO, everyone is bending the rules when it comes to money or illegal benefits. Scandalous activity was alive and punished back in the 1950’s and still is today. It just comes down to getting caught, how you cover your tracks and sealed / loose lips. Hard to imagine anyone’s hands being 100% clean these days but what goes on under the table stays under it until it’s caught. Miller obviously has dirty hands so morally speaking he deserves whatever he’s punched with..... But — I have an opinion that him and others involved in this case were just caught in the same game everyone plays.
