If Obi was cleared to play this past season, and didn't play simply because he was graduating and probably transferring, then it makes no sense to me. Did Coach K simply give up on him? Did the same thing happen with Jeter? I'd hate to think that is the case.

Key word is potential...
Hey man, I wish the guy nothing but the best. Hopefully he can stay healthy- I'm stunned he's even going to try and play. Solid move though, undergrad degree from Duke, a national championship and acc championship ring, and a grad degree from gtown or md? I'd say he's done quite well for himself!

In the words of Michelle tanner, "ohhhh puuuhhhhhleeeaaaassse"

There are no proven big men on the Georgetown roster, Sean has been part of two programs, he's 6'9/6'10 270lbs, and Pat Ewing loves the traditional Big Man...

Yeah, there is a strong chance he starts.

My post wasn't referring to him having a chance to start as an FYI.

Duke keeps things pretty quiet on the injury front....as most of us already know. That said, Sean didn't even suit up for a single game this past season. My guess, and remember, it's a guess....is that by midseason Sean might have been healthy enough to play, but he elected at that time he would like a full season and to take a crack someplace else because he wasn't going to be playing at Duke. Again, a guess. Let's all wish him well.

Oh yeah, let's make sure we start another Obi thread the next time he farts.

With our luck, Obi will become the next Semi Ojeleye or Michael Gbinije. Imagine if we had Ojeleye this year or Gbinije the previous year.

I promise you Obi won't do much more than a Boateng....pretty minimal.

People also forget Gbinije wasn't much at Syracuse until his fourth season in college. His fifth year he was really good. He played minimally his third year in school.

Semi was behind Jabari, Justise and the following season it was going to be Ingram. He probably made the right choice. I wish he had redshirted like the staff insisted, or was more open to playing the four like he is now at SMU.

We'd still be talking about our second round loss to South Carolina

Yeah it's something to think about alright but we may have not had Luke,Ingram or Tatum. It all works out and I'm happy things turned out for both Ojeleye and Gbinije. I also hope Obi has a good year and Chase has a good career. . Always when someone comes to Duke they know what the deal is. OFC.
