This may belong in the political thread, someone else can make that decision, but how is it logical that occupants of a private vehicle are legally required to buckle up yet little kids on a school bus are left unprotected by the law?
It is stupid.
I always make sure everyone is wearing them. Still, not sure only lap belts really do much![]()
You drive a school bus with a Duke education?
I'm an elementary school teacher, and we do field trips.
Nothing wrong with driving a bus, of course.
It is if you got a degree from Duke.
Maybe driving a bus with a Kaiser University degree yeah

Yes he does. It is because he can spell bus. Those that can't work at selling a sub (that is bus spelled backwards) at Subway. You drive a school bus with a Duke education?
"Says" he loves it, that's only because he's accepted his lot in life. When you spend a ton of money and years getting a degree in a foreign language, you don't exactly have a dearth of motivation to ever be successful and wealthy.A dear friend of mine drives a bus and has a masters in a foreign language and a professional doctorate. Says he loves it, has middle of day off and a pension. Hated his career. Didn't want to teach, I guess.
I'll tell you where seatbelts are really useful though - on an airplane. Nothing makes me feel safer at 35,000 feet than that sturdy lap belt I have around me.
No worse than a Wal Mart greeter with a UNC degree. You drive a school bus with a Duke education?
