I see we play UF this weekend who surprisingly has a bad SEC record this season. We are second to last in conference-ahead of only Mizzou who has won zero SEC games thru seven series this season.

Mainieri just needs more time. Four or five more years to get his players in his system is what is needed.

I mean, look, in year one he isn't dead last in the conference, what do people expect? He isn't a miracle worker.

I don't mind giving him more time but this season has been pretty abysmal any way you slice it and it's frustrating to see.

Well, our coach underestimated the strength of the conference.

Yeah. That is not concerning at all. The sports world has changed in the last 4 years... Everyone but our guys are bigger, faster, stronger.

They just gave up another salami in the 5th.

Anyone know the NCAA record for GS surrendered in a season? Because they have to be in the running for the title.

The Season of Ignominy continues...
This time we managed to accomplish this without double digit BB's for the game, so there is some improvement.

I take this as sarcasm. If PM doesn’t make a regional next year, he needs to go.

I'm guess we should just be content to have a person who coaches baseball, and is alive? 🙃

(best part starts at 1:00 😉)

I won't bash, they know how bad it is and I have no answers other than we obviously need better players, but I can't remember a time when I didn't care.

So Manny can fix this mess as soon as he gets better players? Color me skeptical.

Rumor has it he is stepping down tomorrow
That would be a really bad look. He might as well wait out the season, there are only 7 more games to play. It isn't like there will be any games to play after the last game of the regular season and the regular season is over May 17th. He will simply look like a quitter/loser if he steps down now. Carolina will get a reputation as a place where coaches quit on their teams mid season and that isn't a good thing.

If he waits until after the last game of the season, at least he won't look like a quitter, he'll only look like a loser.

Every team plays in the SEC tournament now too but I expect our stay in Hoover to be brief.

After one of the worst seasons in Carolina baseball history, who really cares lol

I didn't realize that. I hope the stay is brief. Winning a game or two to hang around an extra day or so wouldn't be rewarding at this point. It's time to put this season in the rear view mirror.
