Sigh.... the point is looking our best for recruits. Mid 70's, like today, might impress the kids from up north. And the kids from the deep South might think it's not as bad as bad as they expected.

Maybe I'm wrong but that's my opinion.

I used to worry about that stuff too but I think the kids are a little more sophisticated than we give them credit for. I've been on UCLA's campus twice and it seemed to me both times that any kid that visited there would sign with Bruins. But that obviously doesn't happen in either major sport.

Some of the northern kids might think 50's weather is perfect when they're used to plays by in sub freezing temps. Honestly I think the proximity and relatively short drive for their parents to come see them play would be a bigger factor for northern kids who have a desire to play SEC Football.
