I didn't see a second half thread so started one here. Either one is fine.

Giving up so many offensive rebounds is going to cost us again. That's just a toughness thing.

There were some weird bounces.
Boxing out helps mitigate weird bounces. We let them get an offensive rb on a free throw in the first half. Need to box out better. With the size we have, as our guys get a little stronger, we should be able to be the ones leading the rebounding side of the ledger.

I want to see Boo dishing to Kopp plenty into the future. That was a bad shot but Kopp is exactly the kind of guy that will benefit from a slasher like Buie.

Spencer getting revved up! Slam and then a strong drive.

We're actually hitting some threes which helps. I like the way we're playing so far.

Does DePaul really need a 10,000+ seat stadium on the other side of town from their campus? The upper deck looks pretty empty.

I think the ref just called Spencer out for stepping inbounds on the Chicago skyline. Talk about home court advantage.

Bad run by Buie. Gave Moore an open look for a 3, took a bad 3 on the other end, then fouled the shooter back on D. Freshman mistakes.

Playing weak during winning time. Why does Spencer control the ball so much??

Spencer doesn’t have a good handle. At some point CC will need to take the ball out of his hands except maybe a release valve when Buie is under pressure. I’d like to see if Greer can at least not turn the ball over.

Spencer was maddening down the stretch tonight. He was critical earlier but I wanted him on bench last 4 minutes.

Two FGs in final five minutes. 16 total turnovers. Have to do better to pull out games like this.

He's a classic ball hog. He doesn't keep his head up so he has no idea what his teamates are doing.

Problem with Greer is he can't score. Spencer is a legit scoring threat. Unfortunately a missed 1-and-1 and a couple of turnovers down the stretch really fueled the big DePaul run.

Poorly officiated game I think. Not why we lost - too many turnovers and too much foul trouble that constricted Collins' choices, in my opinion. But a good game to watch, stymied somewhat by the zebras.

Agreed. Lately Collins has had AJ Turner in games late instead of Spencer. He didn’t tonight and it cost us. Really hope Spencer can learn to respect the basketball. He’s been making the same dumb mistakes for the last few weeks. It’s fixable.

I don't think he's a ball hog by nature - but he needs to progress on the learning curve regarding what he can get away with. He has limited experience playing against really good, experienced players. And what he's used to being able to do is foiled by crafty opponents with quick hands and feet.
