All in all, not too bad as NU is down 34-25 at the half.

NU's zone was effective for the most part, but Minny started getting hot from distance. The Gophers hit six 3s in the first half while NU just attempted one (and missed it). Nance was hot early and then disappeared. Kopp needs to get more involved, too. I liked Spencer's aggressiveness off the dribble and he carried NU's offense over the last 10 minutes or so by getting into the lane. He leads the Cats with 10 points and NU has an 18-10 edge in points in the paint.

NU needs Beran or Kopp or someone to step up and do some scoring to have any kind of a chance to make it a game in the second half.

If it wasn't for Pat Spencer, this game would be REALLY ugly. He's got 14 points on 6-13 shooting. The rest of the team is shooting 33.3%.

Half the team has no chance of getting a good shot when they get the ball, and everyone on the court knows it.

Pat Spencer has put Nance and Kopp on ice.

Sorry, but when he crosses half court on the breeak he's not looking to set up anyone....he's looking for the opportunity to drive. 75% of the time he's made it into the paint, he's taken the shot. Regardless of where anyone else is.

Kopp hopped on the bus to Houston 20 minutes ago. Nance now shoots as soon as he touches the ball because he fears it won't come back.

I think we can put a fork in this one, we're down by 21 with about 10 minutes left in the second half . Spencer and Nance are trying to do too much themselves . I sure would like to see them run a pick and roll

This is really sad. Neither Nance or Kopp, who many felt would be excellent players as they develop , look like they really have the ability to take that next step.

Regardless of the injuries, this really looks like a poorly coached team.

In his defense, Spencer's had about 5 should have been assists. Good passes, missed bunnies?

Kopp has had a nice season and continues to improve... not sure what you’re talking about regarding him

Playing well down by 20 does not count. It’s fooling ourselves to see it as a positive.

Kopp scores three straight 3- pointers, they call a timeout, then he doesn't see the ball again for a long stretch. Why didn't Collins call any plays for him?

Hahaha, we beat the late line with that last putback. At least we rewarded bettors today
