Guess Buie remembered how to play basketball at halftime...no idea how we're winning this game.

This could be another one of those games where our opponent plays terribly (MN -1-15 on 3’s) and yet we can’t build a big lead, and lose in the end. Let’s hope not!

Minnesota has 0 second-half points thus far. Would be nice if NU could build a bit of a lead before the inevitable awakening.

Stupid plays by our guys. Minnesota is 1-17 from three point land but we're turning it over like crazy.

That is exactly why we don’t crash offensive boards. We can’t even defend a missed free throw.

It’s a very disorganized team on offense.
And Young’s fourth foul is a huge loss — he really calms things down as a focal point when he’s in there.

This is horrendous basketball. I hope NU wins, just so they can finally stop this awful losing streak, but we're well past the point of feeling good about things if they do.

I predict Carr plays hero ball and the game gets decided on whether he makes tough shots

One of Boo’s best games of the year. 2 turnovers. Taking the ball to the rim and getting to the free throw line.

He’d be a good player if he can mature and make better decisions

Will give them credit for the win after a horrible start.

Minnesota’s beyond awful 3 pt shooting made up for all our turnovers.

Finally! Hit our free throws down the stretch and closed it out. Glad for the guys for getting the win.

Hopefully this lets them play loose against a mediocre Maryland team to tie a few wins together and close out the season.

If Collins would focus the offense on the strength of the team (Young under the basket and Nance somewhere inside of 15 feet) the Cats might actually win a few.

It is just painfully obvious that Young and Nance need to be on the court together for 25 minutes a night. If either gets in foul trouble bring in Matt Nicholson, who would be an impact player if the coach actually put him in the game. As it stands now, I think he is a huge transfer risk.

Audige is not a point guard, but he is a far better defender than Buie who is useless on that end of the floor. So Audige plays and Buie sits. Let Ryan Greer run the offense. The point guard has to be a good passer. Buie is a bad passer and really doesn't even try to pass.

Kopp is better than Beran and you cannot play both at the same time. Beran is the softest 6'9" guy I have ever seen.

Really glad the 'Cats won this one. I hope it builds some confidence. However, let's be honest, Minny played the entire game without 2 starters. I saw nothing in this game to change my opinion about our team. They are not very good.

Really positive stat: Cats made more free throws than the Gophers attempted. That's literally where the game was won. Cats got to the free throw line and made them.

Really negative stat: 8/19 assist to turnover ratio. It is so awful that I had to look that up again to confirm that I hadn't imagined it. We had a player have almost as many turnovers (7) as the entire team had assists. That's an offense that seems awfully unlikely to lead to many victories to me without a whole ton more of the really positive stat above...which doesn't seem highly sustainable given the parameters of the offense.

Our wins:
-Buie goes off for 30
-Audige scores 17 in a half
-(...)
-Buie scored 19 in a half

Our offensive woes are not gone folks. But I surely hope confidence is a bit better
