Well, NU's offense finally found its rhythm over the last five minutes or so. The Cats hit their six of their last eight shots from the floor, including a couple 3s, and trail 35-33 at the half. Both teams were hot down the stretch as Penn State made six of their last eight as well.
After getting dominated 48-18 in points in the paint in the first game against Penn State, NU actually has an edge, 20-16, this time around. However, they're just 2-10 from beyond the arc and Shep Garner has been a one-man wrecking crew, scoring 17 points and hitting 5 of 6 triples in the first half.
And get this: there was a 4:09 scoring drought in the first half, and it wasn't NU's!
