Well, that was ugly. For both teams. This is NU's first game against a power conference team, and Pitt has slowed them down. It's been a slog. NU has an uncharacteristic eight turnovers at the half. The good thing is that Pitt is shooting 21%, so NU has an 11-point lead. But they look a lot more like last year's team than this year's team so far.

Audige is looking too much like a BALL HOG for my liking. Multiple turnovers, almost didn’t pass the ball to Nance in time for a wide open 3. Yes he has 10 points on 50% shooting but this isn’t going to fly in the Big Ten.
My favorite play of the first half was when Buie passed on a rhythm 3 to pass to Kopp for a wide open layup. No chance he does that last year.

Watching the Cats live on tv for the first time this season. Getting familiar with the team. Like what I see so far. Go Cats!
He had to foul twice and then Nance fouled his man because he couldn’t keep up. I just don’t understand why we have so much trouble recruiting athletic players.
Serviceable to give 3-5 minutes of rest. But we’re getting zero from Buie. Greer is not your guy to sit Buie on the bench for a good chunk of time. Especially in a game where we look, on offense, like a group of friends who got together to hoop.
Having said that, no idea if Berry can play point. But if he can better to try it now than in the middle of a B1G game.
Could see this coming a mile away. Pitt was bound to start making some of the open looks they've had all night. Meanwhile, Cats still look pretty much lost. What is wrong with Kopp tonight? Kid is automatic against garbo teams, but with open looks against Pitt, he is a nervous wreck and can't make a shot? The lack of any confidence these guys have in themselves tonight is very apparent.
