Question: What areas will each player need to focus on as a player?
Bolden- Getting stronger to maintain position both offensively and defensively. The added strength will also benefit him as a rebounder. Conditioning- to be able to run the floor and play at max level without moments of taking breaks. Motor- to not take moments of the game off.
Giles- Health. Consistency to play at a high level after coming off surgery. No questions about his ability. It's just getting his legs under him and how long that will take.
Tatum- Being consistent from beyond the arc. Can he develop that three point shot to where he can knock them down with regularity. Strength- just getting stronger to battle inside when needed. It would be good to see him around 220. Defending- can he excel on that side of the ball and deny drives, play passing lanes and move laterally quickly.
Frank- Not necessarily PG skills but being able to find his teammates off the pass and to find the right places to drill (spacing). Can he organize and facilitate.
Javin- Most definitely getting stronger and adding muscle weight. Developing go to post moves and feeling more comfortable playing in the paint. Just developing more of an offensive game.
Jack- Adjustment to the US game. The intangibles are there but can he catch up to the speed and the thinking ahead demands of the college game. Not sure what to think about him and I'll be watching to see how he acts on the court.
