According to Brad Wachtel the seeding Committe put a big emphasis on bad losses, KPI rating and SOS while putting less emphasis on predictive metrics. Not great news.

We’re making the tournament. I’m more concerned with what kind of seed we get. I want a 6 seed if we go 3-1 to end the season.

No one with an iq over 60 is concerned about making the tourney. I’m trying to avoid that 8-9 line at all costs.
We don’t have bad losses. Nebraska is like a semi bad loss but nothing like egregious
Nebraska and temple are Q3 losses. Committee considers anything Q3 or Q4 as bad.
Most importantly, we need to beat Minnysnowta. I think we will win 2, hopefully 3, of the remaining regular season games. I think a lot depends on Caleb’s bac.

Plus, you are wrong. If Rutgers loses its last 4 games and gets bounced from the B1G, they are likely out of the tournament. So we are not "past that."
The predictive metrics have never been really been used so dont know why Kenpom is continually brought up on the board

The majority of at larges have Q3 losses and some Q4
Still mix it in with a kpi of 40 and a mediocre SOS and it’s not great. Wish they focused on net ranking and kenpom instead.

They really didnt. Hes mainly talking about top 4 seed lines anyhow which is way more important than 5-12

Win on Thursday and it is certainly possible that we can win the remaining games on the road at Penn State, and Minnesota, and finish the season strong at home against Northwestern.
Rutgers remaining schedule is reasonable compared to the other Big Ten teams with a more difficult schedule. Even Purdue is struggling a bit and has a tough schedule to finish the season.
As a note, the Nebraska loss may come back to haunt us in our Big Ten Tournament seeding.

You know how I know you’re a troll besides the brand new account and annoying handle? You don’t say “us” or “we” - you say “Rutgers” and “they”. You ain’t a fan, a real fan - you’re a lame troll, and not particularly clever or good at it.
There are 4 games left. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that we win them all or lose them all. So it is not wrong to be concerned about making the tourney. Nothing is a given. Take one game at a time and keep winning.
We need to beat Minny and pick up one more. Oddly enough if we can beat Minny and PSU we will finish with a .500 road record which is a pretty nice accomplishment.
