Ehh. I blame the loss on Duke's inability to play as a team. I get you want to defend the players. That is an admirable trait as a fan.

That said, playing as a team requires everyone's devotion. And it is completely fair to acknowledge a player's lack of devotion. And that is not to say that he is the only issue.

This team has no heart and without the greatest motivator to ever coach this game on our sidelines we aren't able to find it mid game. Capel had awful lineups in and that lost the game...K is our only hope

Duke is not a very good team right now.

If Tatum finishes twice we probably win relatively comfortably....in that 8-12 points range. In tight situations we reverted to what we saw most of 2014....players trying to force plays and nonexistent defense. Right now we don't want to win or lose together. Not a good recipe for success.

So many opportunities to put this away. Very, very disappointing loss.

One stat does stick out, however, and it's pretty frustrating:

1 for 9 from 3. Grayson Allen.

We were 8-28 from three as a team. That's after making five of our first 11, too.

K was on the side line at Va Tech. He's been at practice and on phone conferences from my understanding with the team!

Not making excuses but you can show and tell a group of people how and what to play don't mean it's gonna happen exactly how you say.
No heart and it very frustrating to watch.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a little criticizing. It's simple, they all have to step up including Capel.

Bolden: Keep doing you and getting better son. It's a pleasure to watch him grow as a player.

Giles: Same thing... the game is slowly but surely coming to him.

Frank: He's a special player, he wants to force the game but I believe he'll be better once the game comes to him.

Jayson: Aside from his scoring capability, he has to step it up. I don't think he is a bad player, however his style of play does not fit us and never will. As soon as the coaches or he realizes that, we'll be fine.

Luke/Grayson: I don't agree with benching these two, especially not at the same time. Luke needs to be more trigger happy in my opinion. Shooters shoot.

Jones/Amile: They need to keep doing them. Continue to be leaders and hopefully some of the players buy in.

Overall, as soon as the upper classman realize they need the freshman and the freshman need the upper classman... this team will click and it'll be scary. I just hope we see it this year.

28 threes and lost on defense, always our downfall. My favorite is the Panic City offense/defense after falling behind by two with 3 mins remaining - jack up threes from everywhere & get beat back door for lay ups. IMO that's poor coaching.

It sucks, plain and simple. Probably one of the most highly anticipated seasons weve had in a while. Preseason #1, players looking to be all americans, and a freshman or two to be up for freshman of the year. It's hard to be so let down and not really see much hope for a change. It's hard to take crap from opposing fan bases, but we've certainly been able to dish it out for several years and now it's our time to take it. I think a lot of people need to simple quit watching games for a while cause yall get too bent out of shape. I myself am in that catagory, as much as it pains me to say it, but a basketball game should not be any deciding factor on how my night and next day plays out. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't even sleep last night thinking about it. I'm going to chill on watching for a while, not because I'm fed up with the team, but for the sake of health. I love Duke and will pull for them tI'll I die and will probably even peek at the score from time to time. Some of you need to do the same and relax. I'm sure the coaching staff and all the players are probably more upset and scratching their heads more than we are.

We were bad at the FT line. We make our usual % as well as our 3's, we win by 15-20.

Maybe they left all of their energy in the Miami game.

Luckily, the NCAA will consider the losses that occurred while K was away.
