I was watching TCM yesterday and in between movies was treated to an interesting short before the next movie. They showed a pretty high quality reel of highlights of CFB from 1955.
I watched long enough to see the Sooners in all white throttle the steers 20-0.
McDonald had a good day and the streak was growing in the mid 20s.

ia...You just made my day! It's Super Fans, such as you, that help keep 'The Legend' alive. So many today, don't even include McDonald, and other Sooner Greats of that era, on their Top 25 Lists...That's understandable, since many weren't born, but they don't realize that they missed The BEST Years of OU Football...Definitely, their loss! The Men of the 47 Straight are fewer each year...THANK YOU for remembering them...

Your very welcome Ma’am. I was a zygote about then so missed the coverage, such as it was but probably had snippets from the radio ingrained in my soul

You can watch several OU games from the 1950's on YouTube

Speaking of McDonald... Mike Leach just posted this on Twitter 10 hours ago...

But I think he's referencing a McDonald that he's trying to recruit. :)
