What a great exciting moment for USC. When Sparky came into room, he had a big smile and a SEC cap on, so don't think he was intimidated. He was undone by Dixon's refusal to go to bowl games because "it would interfere with FB team studying". Wow! No wonder he didn't last very long.

One season of watching Sparky convinced McGee that proceeding with him was futile. He was 30-19 at APP State, which should have forestalled his hiring but for our utter desperation. Totally out of his element.
