The forward from Harvard has hit the grad transfer market. We don’t really need any more forwards but it will be interesting to see who he lands with. He averages 16pts and 5.7rebs. The interesting thing about him is he’s a grad transfer who has two years of eligibility left. So whoever lands him is getting a very nice pick up.

Oh i do think we need another big but i just thought it was interesting that he was a grad transfer with two years left. I don’t think I’ve seen that before.

Can Johnson was a grad transfer when he transferred to UNC. He was at Pitt for 3 years but redshirted his freshman year because of a knee injury and he graduated from Pitt but he still had 2 years of eligibility left when he transferred to UNC.

Why isn’t he playing this year?

40%+ from 3
80% FT

He’ll be able to land on a contending team that needs a shooter, if he wants.

Ivy league Player of the Year in 2018. Was also originally recruited by OSU and Michigan.

I feel like most mid-major transfers that score a lot of points get in the ACC and just aren't big enough or athletic enough to make a difference (see the current UNC grad transfers), but this guy could possibly play college basketball at the highest levels. Will be interested to see where he ends up.
I think Duke (rightfully so) has put all their eggs into the Kuminga basket for now.
