After losing too many close games, I vowed to never be upset after a win. Lot of good things in tonight’s game. As a fan, I’ll chose to focus on those and enjoy the win!
Can’t really say the 103 is the expectation for a guy that will more than likely break the record for All-Time passing yards in the SEC. The 103 was out of the norm.
But I agree that our secondary was terrible tonight.
We’ll need an upset win to be bowl eligible. A lot of work ahead. Still a recruiting class a away from being a contender and Rattler is gone after this year. Need to get receivers in for Sellers to throw to. Wells and Leggette gone after this year. Hit the portal hard!
He accumulated those yards in a much different offense. He threw for more yards tonight than the previous 3 games combined. There is no way to sugar coat the embarrassment that was our “coverage” tonight. One of the worst secondary performances I’ve ever seen. Right up there with A&M 2014. Starting to get Whammy vibes from White.

Coaching focus needs to switch to secondary for next week or we get torched.

What I saw was the first 2 MSU drives they tried to run and couldn't. I think they then switched back to Leach's old air raid and we weren't prepared for it. The MSU QB was just letting them fly and MSU No.9 was just running to them. The second half was a little better but it shouldn't take White 2 quarters to adjust to things.
Th bottom line is this was one of the worst offenses in the league. At or near the bottom in every statistical category. And Clayton White made it appear like the pirate was back on the sidelines calling plays. We don’t play smart D. And we consistently miss assignments. That’s been a trend for going on 3 years now.
