I've never followed his comedy, but what's not to love about these jokes?Shane Gillis does a fantastic Trump impersonation, outside of that, I am not impressed.
did you hear the 1 about Juan Soto????....I laughed but am surprised there weren't protest todayI guess I'm the only one with a funny bone....
lol, yeah, he didn't hold backdid you hear the 1 about Juan Soto????....I laughed but am surprised there weren't protest today
Nice!Nailed Deion and Shedeur as well:
"Shedeur Sanders had his jersey number retired at Colorado this year. People are saying it’s because of nepotism because of his father, and it’s not. It’s because he went 13-12 over his career and he almost won the Alamo Bowl.”
I went to youtube and watched it. Again, I was not impressed.I've never followed his comedy, but what's not to love about these jokes?
The WNBA ones are hilarious. He got a room full of professional athletes to applaud for a made-up WNBA player. Brilliant to show that even their peers don't care about their sport.
For someone who claims not to care about the WNBA, there certainly is a preoccupation with this theme.
How else to explain the proliferation of threads concerning said subject.
If people who actually are WNBA fans relied on other actual fans to keep discussions going about the WNBA, or women's sports in general, the message boards they frequent would be pretty barren.Ahhh, the old "If you say you don't care about it, you can never talk about it, and if you talk about it in any way and in any context, then it means you care about it."
There are lots of things all of us don't "care" about, but if we come across something humorous or in some other way of general interest about that person/topic, we may comment on it.
I started a thread the other day about the Nick Saban un-retirement rumor. I'm not a Nick Saban fan. I'm not an Alabama fan. I would say I don't really care about Nick Saban in any particular sense. Nevertheless, it was a mildly interesting topic I came across, so I posted it. I posted a thread about the WNBA ratings cratering when Clark was out with an injury. No, I don't care about the WNBA or Clark, but as a sports fan, that never-before-seen phenomenon was nevertheless interesting. I'm not a Taylor Swift fan. Don't know and couldn't name a single song of hers. But if I saw her at the grocery store, I'd probably tell folks that I saw her.
FWIW, I wouldn't read too much into the anonymous postings of individuals in online college football forums. Posting a thread on this forum is not a labor of love that reveals the innermost thoughts and feelings of posters. I assume most on here post topics as a distraction or while bored at work.
But back to the original topic...funny stuff from Gillis. He got an entire room full of professional athletes to cheer for a made-up WNBA player. Comedy gold.
It's not that you talk about it. It's that you talk about it a lot. It's like it's not good enough for you to not like the sport. You seem to be trying to convince others of something. It's like if I start a soccer post once a month. Yes, you can post what you want. You can start the threads that you want. However, where are you going with all this about women's sports.Ahhh, the old "If you say you don't care about it, you can never talk about it, and if you talk about it in any way and in any context, then it means you care about it."

Basketball in general has embraced the idea that it is a sport to be ruled by one demographic regardless of the talent of the individual player. Clark did not fit the demographic so the WNBA decided to try and run her out of the league.I personally can see a divide between interest in the WNBA and interest in the clown show of them demanding equal pay to the NBA.
Or a difference between being interested in watching a game vs finding entertainment out of the WNBA finally finding someone people want to watch, and them doing everything they can to cut her down.
I still like the idea of showing men's basketball on the jumbotron during WNBA games.I personally can see a divide between interest in the WNBA and interest in the clown show of them demanding equal pay to the NBA.

This is BS. No one is trying to run Caitlin out of the league and I watch almost every Fever game. What I see is that her fans want to change how the game is called to fit Caitlin's skillset. If Caitlin was a guy in the NBA, the message would be physicality is a part of the game. Toughen up or get out. Further, her injuries have been of the non-contact variety. She aggravated her groin injury on a pass. Yet, the narrative is about all this hateful physicality that is just not there. All I see is players playing hard trying to win. Does hate make the ball not go in the basket? Caitlin is shooting 37% from the field and 28% from 3. Only made Two 3 Pointers in Fever Road games all year. Her gravity still opens the game up for her teammates, but she is just struggling with her shot. Could be injury-related. Also, she could get more foul calls if she stops jacking up logo 3s. No one is fouling her out there. Many on this board complain about DEI. Yet, they want the WNBA to create all these DEI rules to fit Caitlin's skill-set. Is DEI good or bad? Make up your mind.Basketball in general has embraced the idea that it is a sport to be ruled by one demographic regardless of the talent of the individual player. Lol man. If what you’re trying so hard to convince yourself about the way the league plays Clark (although they do seem to more realize how stupid that is on their part) was actually factual you’d have a point. i am stating facts. I am watching people make stuff up. You had two inadvertent eye pokes and a Chennedy Carter push down in 2 years and Caitlin is being attacked. Basketball history is littered with players wearing goggles due to inadvertent eye pokes. Anthony Davis just had eye surgery to repair a detached retina due to an inadvertent eye pokes. Was he being attacked. Was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy being attacked. Further, Chennedy Carter is no longer in the league because she is bat-sh*t crazy and threatened to kill a teammate. Everybody in the league could have told Caitlin to not try to trash talk Chennedy Carter. Just ready for people to calm down and focus on basketball instead of people trying to turn Caitlin into some type of female Jackie Robinson when players with similar skill sets(Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Plum) are not complaining and thriving in the league.Lol man. I have never been & will never be a CC fan. A large part of her success was dependent on the refs looking the other way when she “created space” in order to make a shot. It’s just a little payback for all those non-called push offs.i am stating facts. I am watching people make stuff up.
