OK. So Lauren has 91. Shelby is now fifth in NCAA history after hitting #84 tonight, a two-run shot after Lauren had been walked. It's possible that we might have #1 and #2 by the end of the year.

Lauren was walked three times and scored three times. She struck out the fourth, followed by a Shelby strikeout. Kady and Georgia Casey had three rbis each as OU run-ruled Utah Valley, 13-0, in five. It was a two-hitter, the first a bunt single.

Kelsey Arnold, our freshman third baseman, made her first error of her college career on a slow bounder that didn't really make it to her. She couldn't pick it up. Not bad for a third baseman to make it this far without an error.

The Utah Valley catcher is left-handed. You don't see that very often.

Well, thanks again for the details Sybarite, but, tell us, is it even plausible that Shelby could match or exceed Lauren's feat of acclaim?
You know, number of game left, et al?

Possible. Yes. Probable?
Shelby has hit twenty in the last thirty games. She needs six to tie the old record, seven to tie Lauren, currently. She has:
Utah Valley
Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State
Regional---probably two or three games
Super-regional---probably three games
World Series---minimum of two games.
