Maybe she never turned the table? Maybe she plotted this out from the beginning and was the hunter from the beginning? Maybe she held all the power in the relationship and coerced and threatened her way to a raise? Who knows. Her momma would be proud of her, oh, and you too!
Based on everything else coming out about him, it's safe to say she didn't initiate it.

So far they have not lost a single roster player. I imagine they are thankful for the scam on the players who had no clue what they were up to, knowing they were firing him but trapping the recruits there by waiting until after signing day
Portal hasn't opened yet plus they don't play until 12/31--tons of time for people to make a rational decision and consider their options

As of yesterday, Bear McWhorter and Matt Ludwig have both asked and have been released from their early signing. My understanding is there are three more but do not know the names yet. There are some with specific contracts that they cannot vacate even with a change in coaching.

I saw on 11W where Michigan hired some high brow law firm in Chicago to " investigate the athletic department" I am sure that this firm is chock full of Michigan alum that will take $$$$$$ in fees and come back with " nothing to see here folks"
They hired law firm Jenner & Block. A look at their web page shows 32 of 253 attorneys in the Chicago office graduated from Michigan Law School. So UM is well represented in the firm. But I can't believe they could possibly allow a UM Law grad to participate in the investigation. Or maybe I'm naive.

It doesn’t really matter who initiated it. She may have. None of that matters.

it looks like if she ever wanted to break up with him there could be consequences. And there was when he broke into her house after she came clean. I wonder why she came clean and outed him? Because she was feeling great about him? Because she was afraid she would get fired?

Why do you think there are HR rules about this? He all but doubled her salary. You think that’s not exerting some control or power?
Talk to an HR person about the superior subordinate romantic relationships and let me know what they say.

The fact he went to her house and threatened to kill himself in front of her does not indicate some sort of manipulative control freak practice? The guy was unstable.

Why didn’t they report the relationship as consensual to management? Oh I forgot he was cheating on his wife. Another Michigan man full of integrity acting appropriately within 2 relationships at the same time. The guy was living 2 different lives for years. You know how much you need to control your environment to pull that off?

No one gets huge salary increases, even fir promotions. Her raise required approval at the highest university levels. Of not, that alone is a serious lack of institutional control. Probation must be imposed.

Though she knows what she’s doing he may have made her employment contingent upon her being in a relationship with him. These situations are not just about an affair. They are a power play by male managers over a direct subordinate. It’s often control. The employment piece is huge here. It’s a power dynamic. It’s the reason organizations have rules about relationships with subordinates. It’s a liability for them as it can result in sexual harassment.
Where's are never heros on an affair.

Right, they didn't have a head coach and staffers working full time against their employer well in advance. Their head coach is under arrest and suicidal. He's not poaching and sabotaging. He's got bigger concerns.

Also keep in mind that there while are 32 attorneys from Michigan Law School I am sure that there are many more that went to Michigan as an undergrad and went to law school elsewhere. If that is factored in then the Michigan representation at that firm is much higher.
