Should Trent Noah play against Louisville

We played better when Noah out in previous two games

He needs to play to get settle down

But I prefer using current rotation, because it already works

I mean clearly the best 4 are lowe, Aberdeen, OO and Dia. Jq probably center but Moreno and Garrison are fine now.

No issue with Noah playing some but hope the comedy of him starting is done.

I'd add Chandler to your list. He's been our biggest spark on offense and plays good defense as well. He's got to get minutes as he has earned them.

Chandler and Jasper play the off the bench minutes behind Lowe/Aberdeen/Oweh. That’s five dudes for three spots. 24 mins/GM if divided evenly (which it won’t be), so obviously plenty of mins for those players.

Garrison and Moreno are obviously splitting mins.

Honestly, I think the only rotation piece to get solved is who gets mins behind Mo. If Jelavich can handle it, it’s him. I’m not sure he can. If he can’t, then it’s a whoever seems the right fit with Noah or Kam going small ball 4.

I have a concern Pope will try to play too many bodies. This rotation is really good. If/when JQ comes back and he’s healthy, we are really something special I think.

Y'all already forgot how well he played against Purdue. He’s a rotation guy. You sit them against cupcakes, like last night. Not save them for cupcakes. lol.

we need a good guard to run the offense and create plays...... that was so obvious against georgetown.

He needs to find rhythm

Don't use big game for him to find rhythm

He needs smaller game to find rhythm
Didn’t affect him against TN last season. Big game/small game, doesn’t matter. Seeing a shot go in changes things and all it takes is 1. Having Lowe & Aberdeen back will get guys open looks. Everyone looked bad against G-Town & 8 mins against Nichols isn’t enough to deduce anything about him.

I'm all up for giving him his minutes and getting him in the lineup at the time his rotational spot comes up. Get him in, see that ball go thru the hoop and everyone will soon forget any struggles he might have had. Moving forward this season, it will be critical for our players to find thier role and get comfortable. He is a rotational piece, and one that can provide a HUGE spark and definitely a 3 point threat any time he is on the court.

Just need to have a little patience, he will have his big games before the season is over, and an important role on this team.

Noah should get the chance to earn playing time, but not just for a three pointer or two, but play defense well enough to earn it all so.

It's really starting to feel like the OG rafters again.

Noah played 9 minutes in 1 game without either of our starting PG's. Shooters typically benefit from having an actual PG set them up for open shots.

You write this like Noah hurt the rotation. The lack of a PG is what hurt the rotation.

We did but those are just better players. Noah is capable of going off for 25 at any minute. We had no guards and he was having to play in ways he won’t be asked to now. He can ring off 5 3’s in the blink of an eye. It’s gonna happen. I want him playing as much as he can. He’ll find his place in the rotation and kill it. And he’ll be a crazy good staple guy by his junior and senior year. But it’s important not to read anything into those exhibitions nor season openers when we didn’t even have our starting PG.

We also need to make sure for the health of the program we keep Kentucky guys 4 years. Otherwise none of this will mean much down the road. Can’t have Texas and California guys year in and year out transferring and keep our traditions as they are. Protect the program.

PG - J. Lowe
SG - C. Chandler
SF - O. Oweh
PF - M. Dioubate
C - B. Garrison
6th - D. Aberdeen (PG/SG)
7th - M. Moreno (C)
8th - J. Johnson (SG/PG)
9th - T. Noah (SF/PF)
10th - A. Jelavic (PF)
11th - K. Williams (SF)

That should be the rotation for now. It keeps Chandler from playing any PG and everyone can play mostly their natural position, other than Oweh but the 3/2 aren’t really much different in Pope’s offense.

The idea of a "Kentucky boy effect" has to end if this team wants to win big games.

If the medical staff say he is safe and injury free then sure suit up. If there is any doubts I say pass and heal up because it’s better to have him in March than for a game against the losers of Louisville.

Exactly!

if he’s cleared to play then play him. If he’s not cleared the decision is made.

With statements like that you should stay anonymous.
Kenny Payne isn't on the sidelines. This is a top 10 team and probably the best since Donovan Mitchell was suiting up. I don't expect sentimental effects for this outcome.

I'm not really sure what you are talking about. All 8 of Kentucky's championship teams have had a Kentucky player in the rotation and UK has a long history of Kentucky players coming up big against UL, so I don't see how that could possibly be a detriment to winning. I certainly have not suggested that a player not worthy of playing time should get it just because they're from Kentucky, but you knew that; that's why you are an anonymous troll.
