Should UK honor Tom Payne with a statue?

I mean if the Reds aren't going to remove the statue of an admitted child rapist whose only defense is "I, uh, thought that 14-year-old was 16!", then why not? Payne's importance to his sport certainly outweighs his terrible crimes, right?

Sorry, he had a chance to be a poster child for integration and did the opposite, turned into a serial rapist. Pretty dumb, he could have been another Wilt the Stilt with all the women he wanted with the money and fame he could have had.

J Dee, you usually seem like a pretty reasonable dude. What’s the point of this thread?

I'm just irritated that Pete Rose still has a statue on display in Cincy after he admitted that he had an affair with a literal child (and likely had many more such relationships). I was attempting to be sarcastic by suggesting Payne be honored as well.

At exactly what point does an athlete's off-field behavior overshadow his or her career accomplishments?

When they demonstrate that they are piece of **** human beings, no reason either of them should have a statue anywhere but hell
