Any kind of a consistent passing game would work wonders for this squad. Even just somebody that can dump it off to RBs and TEs. Do we not have a player on an 85 man scholarship roster that can complete short and midrange passes?

They knew well enough in advance on Towles.
Yes Barker got hurt, that's football. There needs to be somebody else on an SEC roster in the year 2016.
Yeah, Smith has been terrible. They need to send him back to where he came from. They knew well enough in advance on Towles.

They are holding them back for a rainy day.
And I don't blame towles for leaving. Barker beat him out. Why not go play your senior season somewhere else. He fulfilled his obligation here and graduated. Why hang around hoping someone gets hurt if you can play somewhere else. Same thing with Phillips. He got passed up, was a year ahead of barker and wasn't going to get a chance to start and play unless someone got hurt. So he left.We had 2. Towles transferred. He's not great as we've all seen, but he's a serviceable backup. Phillips left as well. I'm not sure about his game, but maybe he would've been better. I don't blame the staff for our QB situation. I also think Johnson as done pretty well considering where he was just last year.
Question is would you have posted this if Badet catches ball and we win say 28-23...I don't think soOk so the consensus is we'll play 10 on 11, send our "QB" that can't throw very well and doesnt have good pocket presence and doesn't protect the football (coaches don't even want him to run it anymore) out to play WR where he can't catch either apparently (nor can he block), but it doesn't really matter I guess because we don't have a RB that can throw it. Ah UK football, continuing to settle for mediocrity.
Who is settling for medicoricty?Ok so the consensus is we'll play 10 on 11, send our "QB" that can't throw very well and doesnt have good pocket presence and doesn't protect the football (coaches don't even want him to run it anymore) out to play WR where he can't catch either apparently (nor can he block), but it doesn't really matter I guess because we don't have a RB that can throw it. I'd like specifics on what passes SJ missed on last night. I didn't see many.Any kind of a consistent passing game would work wonders for this squad. LOL, yeah it did. But my point was some fans think we always have better players on the bench which was why I made the comment.
Nobody better on the bench may be a problem thus this thread!!
Our QB play and subsequent management blows, admit it.
The coaches let a capable game manager and senior with the most experience get away, then got caught with their pants down when the next man in line, apparently the only other one on an 85 man roster that can consistently throw, got hurt. They did and have done little to adjust and are doing nothing to prepare a guy for next year.
And if you think all these QBs on the roster now will be here to only sit the bench you are nuts. Several are only being groomed to transfer.
Very knowledgable about college football, maybe you're just a homer in denial.
Competition between guys that have little to no experience and a non QB playing QB, that's not healthy competition. QB, the most important position on the field, especially for a program like UK, will once again be a gigantic question mark.
We are loaded at RB and have a better Oline than we've had in a long time, and a decent defense, but we have nosy that the coaches even trust to handoff to stable of backs let alone dink and dunk to them. Smh
