is his release a little higher than it used to be?

I thought the same thing. Interesting to see a highlight video with a) a rebound, and b) a blocked shot. Plus he was talking some sort of Spanish smack with a little hand wave after the block!

Release point definitely looks higher. The feathered jump shot from he left was released with the ball over his head

this is pretty great. sent it to all my friends. thanks for posting. we all agreed his shot looks better than ever.

His shot was the first thing I noticed. It has definitely changed to a more conventional, over the head shot.

This made me revisit some of his old highlights...man I miss some of those old teams, Juice, Shurna, Crawdord, Marcothreelio. Good memories (also painful memories)

Shurna, si, Shurna!
In case anyone cares, the announcers speech and some of the text are *NOT* in Spanish!

In the Valencia region they speak their version of Catalan (from the region around Barcelona), which some call Valencian.

Catalan is *NOT* a derivative or dialect from "Spanish" (which is more properly called Castilian, for the region in Spain where it originates). Catalan is a Romance Language, and hence a direct descendant from Latin (just like Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, etc). In this sense, "Spanish" (Castilian) and Catalan are siblings.

Although most Catalan speakers have learned Spanish, a native speaker from either language would have difficulty understanding the other without significant formal training. However, in writing either language is relatively easy to understand for the speaker of the other.
