We’re having our best season in like 5 years
UK will never sink to that level of mediocrity. We may have a down year every so often, but IU has been irrelevant in the national picture for 3 or more decades. They have had a good year here and there but nothing even close to what they were in the 70's and early 80's.

We have won three national championships since IU won their last title. We are far from irrelevant. We are also ranked in the top 10 and have been most of the season, where is IU?
5-1 vs top 15 teams with a roster that was put together at the last second and we're fading into IU type relevance? I don't get this at all.
This irrelevance Dakich speaks of, who was coaching here when the decline started? So either we became irrelevant under Cal, or irrelevant in Pope's first season, all while going something like 5-1 against the top 15. I don't remember any losses at home to Evansville or UNC Wilmington this season. Think we're safe against Oakland and St. Peters this season too.
Dakich should probably take a good long hard look in the mirror when he starts speaking upon irrelevance. It wasn't that long ago when he was a top 5 college basketball analyst and commentator. As someone that used to listen to DD almost daily, this is a weird take. He almost always had glowing things to say about Kentucky and BBN. Not sure what's changed since he left radio and went to Outkick.
