So basically for nothing.
He’s on the last year of his contract and is frequently injured. He is very good when healthy but both he and Penny have missed a lot of games over the last few years.

This could be another crafty pick up by Howie. Swift is likely a one-year rental, but they’re deep at RB suddenly. They have several guys who are home run hitters.

Thus the low price paid by Philly. They now have Swift, Penny, Gainwell, Scott and Sermon (who the staff likes).

That’s depth and talent behind a great OL. They can’t ask for better than that going into the season!

It is interesting how the feature back is a thing of the past. Most teams play at least 2-3 RBs consistently.

This is why nobody pays feature backs big $ anymore. Any high use RB will get hurt and fall off in production. It’s a lot more efficient to have 2-3 backs in a rotation and invest your $ along the OL.
