I had to reinstall my browser and after I signed in to CI, I noticed a video playing nonstop on the right side of the board with my profile above it. Is there a way to hide that. Where are the settings at?

Thanks, I didn't think it was a bug but didn't know how to turn it off.

I tried it, all it did was close the site. I had to click back on to CI again. Any more suggestions or was that the idea ... to kick me off.

install adblock plus, chrome extension
The ads came back and adding adblock plus did not stop them. What now?

I take that back, the ads are gone but the space they were in is still there and the posting area is still only about half the page.

Change your screen resolution.
No, this seems like something that Cats Illustrated does and I don't believe changing my resolution has anything to do with it. I say that because none of the other sites I go to are any different. There has to be a setting somewhere that blocks this out or hides it.

you can't do anything about that

* well, you could if you knew html basics*
Thanks dude but I'm a little rusty on my html. Even if I knew it well, I don't think I could gain access to that part of this board.:grimace:

nah you can do that right now, for example pick something on the web page

right click > inspect element

press delete and whatever you have selected disappears

The extension I posted above includes several options that you can tweak. Just open the extension and select "Extension options". If you don't like it, then simply remove it.

or push the command key and hold it and press the plus key until you get to 170.
See if that fixes you up.

I added the extension and unchecked the first option and the ads disappeared. Thanks.

Since the first option is "Hide the rightmost sidebar in all views.", I would think you would want that checked. If checked, it removes the sidebar and shows the posts full screen. Whatever. Glad you're satisfied.

It was already checked so I unchecked it to see what would happen. It worked, thanks again.
