Watched the Collins interview. When Collins begins answering the question on a small signing class, he says something to the effect that it's a small class for now but he can't talk much about it now. That's the only think I can think of.

Later, he said maybe another in the spring or summer. He also talked about transfers and 5th year seniors. I just didn't get the feeling that he had someone on the hook for this week or I don't think he would have discussed spring and summer.

Agree on that. I think it's later too.

I actually think this puts NU is a really good posistion.

Rap has essentially dropped down to the 2017 class with his injury and red shirt, making it one of the highest-quality classes in recent NU history. I really love the guard we got in the 2017 class.

Collins needs a good performance on the court this year to help with recruiting and transfers.

I love that Collins only went after upper-tier recruits this year. NU is not going to move into the top half of the Big Ten by recruiting players who do not have the all around game and the physical make up and skills to compete in our conference.

almost certain no other recruits at this time. will try to be a player for transfers and for late signees or decommits. I actually think this puts NU is a really good posistion.

I agree with you. Gaines is a good get. I rather not see a four year project B lister. Let's see what the transfer, 5th year and decommit list will have to offer. A good year could let us shop at the top of those lists and line up for a large, strong 2018 class.
