Similarities?

I was thinking (which is dangerous) but I can’t help be reminded of some similarities from the 95 ND game:
1. Irish/Ireland similarity
2. Huge underdogs; I believe 17-20 pts.
3. all talk pre-game: Nebraska,Nebraska, Nebraska!
4. We’re better than anyone expected!
5. Great defensive stands and timely offense
6. Bonus: Scott Frost is their coach!

We were 11 point underdogs today.

We won’t sniff a title this season but I’m hoping we’re in for a 2003-2005 type stretch. Shootouts, hopefully competitive with OSU, and make a fun bowl game.

ND was preseason ranked like #8 in 1995 and finished 9-2 with only losses being to NU and OSU. They were a very good team and an incredibly great win to start a magical season. Incidentally, that was the only NU game I have ever wagered on. And that's a good story.
