We are not as good as some people think, nor are we as bad as some people think.
This is an above average team, nothing more nothing less. Enjoy the wins and tolerate the losses. Better days ARE coming.

I would probably say average currently. Above average when 100%. Don’t think we will be close to 100% rest of season. For that reason, I’d be shocked if we win more than a game in each tourney.

When you play someone with quickness and length like Auburn we are not going to be able to score enough to win. Obviously we can’t get enough stops so we have to outscore them. We played one shooter the majority of the game and our guys aren’t fast enough or good enough to get to the rim when Auburn overplays. They are significantly better than us. We are very good for the level of talent we have. This UK team with SEC level athleticism is a #1 seed. This team in reality is a top 15 #3-4 seed team. I’m ok with that year one.

The simple truth is we have to have some upgrades next year. We have a few guys that are just not cutting it. It’s understandable under the circumstances but we have guys that are just flat out not Kentucky or championship level players.

When fully healthy this is a top 10-15 team easily maybe even a top 8.

Because of injuries the ceiling has been lowered, but it was only that high because the team and coach overperformed early in the year. The talent is limited. Now, it's extremely limited.
I want to see Pope do 2 things in the off season; significantly upgrade our talent (of course), and evaluate his own performance. His team opened the 2nd half today with 5, FIVE, consecutive turnovers without calling a time out, but then called one after the 6th. Unacceptable; you have to have a better feel than that. And he's been very slow to stop opponents momentum with time outs all year. And I'm not going to mention his substitutions/playing-time head scratchers.

I sound negative. I'm not. In retrospect, this will be a good season when all things are considered.
