Kid has really developed a game. He and Law are the 2 most improved players. Skelly is a pleasant surprise. He could be as hated as Christian Laettner by the end of the year!

Law is everything I hoped he'd be. Skelly is indeed playing great. I would add that Lindsey has been more consistent this year - can still be up and down at times, but has been a solid starter.

Two big areas of improvement Scottie has shown thus far: defense and FT shooting. He really looks mature and less emotional this year.

Lindsey has more wiggle than anyone else on the court. He is fun to watch driving to the hoop.

Does anyone else notice how much Skelly hit the weight room since last season? He looks like he put on 20 pounds of pure muscle on his frame. This will bode well for him once Big 10 play starts up. He and Lindsey are my votes for most improved players this season.

Pretty much everyone except McIntosh is playing better this season. Collins consistently refers to NU as a "development program", saying they look for guys who can develop into solid players over their 4 years at NU, not necessarily finished products out of high school. The ability of his staff to get kids stronger and more skilled bodes well for the future.

And BTW, Butler knocked of #6 Arizona in Vegas yesterday. NU is playing and holding their own against some pretty decent competition early in the season.

I agree with all the accolades Lindsey is getting. His outside shot has been fabulously consistent so far. He's also not playing scared.

The one thing that drives me NUTS about him is his over-reaction to each and every foul call against him. It's not getting him anywhere and I'd be shocked if he didn't have a reputation. He's still drawing some cheapy fouls.

I hope someone is whispering in his ear to just shut up, get back to his assignment and play.

Skelly is turning into everything I thought he would be (the long-gone writer for TOS had dismissed Skelly as a role player/marginal talent).

Was just waiting for Lindsey to start showing more consistency and having more control of his emotions. Greatly improved, but could still get better (the L-duo could cause a lot of trouble for other teams and right now, the L-trio, w/ their mix of O and D are doing a pretty good job).
